Over 45 days, players will battle the elements, hunger, exhaustion, and each other in the hopes of making it to the end and taking home the title of Sole Survivor and a life-changing $500,000.

Forget it's TV, this is the ultimate challenge

The American version of Survivor premiered in 2000 and still going strong. Survivor places a group of strangers in an isolated location where they must provide food fire and shelter for themselves compete in physical and mental challenges for rewards and immunity from elimination.

The contestants are progressively eliminated from the game as they are voted out by their fellow contestants until only one remains and is given the title of "Sole Survivor" who is awarded the grand prize (US$1m - AU$250K).
